arrested_handcuffsOn Friday, March 13th at 10:37 P.M. Officer Krynock with the Plymouth Police Department investigated a parked car in the middle of the roadway in the area of Michigan Street and Skylane Drive.

During the course of the investigation marijuana and paraphernalia were located in the vehicle which led to the arrest of the driver identified as 60 year old, Jeffery A. Coppes of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Coppes was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was held on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Paraphernalia and Operating a Vehicle with a Controlled Substance. His bond was set at $1,505 bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
