Primary Election Information and Dates

February 27, 2020

Go VoteThe Marshall County Election Board had a busy agenda for their meeting last week.  One portion of the meeting was reviewing several important dates for the upcoming May Primary.

County Clerk, Deb VanDeMark said the last day to register as a voter for the Primary is Monday, April 6th.  Voters will have to select the party they plan to vote for at the polls.  Registration is fairly easy and can be done online at www.indianavoters.com., at your local Bureau of Motor Vehicle or in the Marshall County Clerk’s Office during normal business hours.  In the Clerk’s Office you would enter through the second door on the right.

The first day for absentee voting in the Clerk’s Office will be on Tuesday, April 7th.  Any registered voter can vote early during normal business hours, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.  The final day to vote absentee will be Monday, May 4th at noon.

Those voters who aren’t able to get out and cast their ballot because they are confined to home or a facility and would like to have the Travel Board visit them should contact the Clerk’s Office.  The first day for confined voting by absentee is April 16th.

The Marshall County Election Board will offer Saturday voting in two satellite locations as well at the Court House for the May 5th Primary Election.  On Saturday, April 25th and Saturday, May 2nd voters can vote early at the Culver Schools Administration Building or at the Bremen Town Hall or County Clerk’s Office from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
