Plymouth Color Logo2014Awarding quotes for city vehicles tops the Board of Public Works and Safety agenda for Monday’s meeting.

During their meeting on February 10th, the Board of Public Works and Safety opened vehicle quotes for the Street Department, Cemetery and Police Department.  Since only one quote was presented for the cemetery vehicle that was awarded.  The Board of Works will award the quotes for three police vehicles and two trucks for the street department.

Also on the agenda are reports from board members, the mayor and department heads.  The City Engineer, Rick Gaul will present requests to work in the city’s right-of-way from Surf Air and Comcast.  Plymouth Clerk Treasurer Jeanine Xaver will discuss the 2020 Dispatch Payment and there will be a request to close Michigan Street for the 2020 Art Festival.

The City Council meeting which is scheduled to begin at 6:30 will include Mayor Mark Senter giving the State of the City Address.  The common council will also conduct a public hearing for a tax abatement request of Zentis for their $6.8 million expansion.

Also on their agenda is consideration of an ordinance authorizing the city of issue its Taxable Economic Development Revenue Bonds for 2020 for the Centennial Crossing project.  Council member will also decide on a resolution confirming the Zentis property to be within an economic revitalization area for the purpose of a tax abatement.

City meetings are held in the second floor Council Chambers and are open to the public.  Comment and questions are limited to agenda items only.  Anyone attending should enter through the Garro Street door and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.
