Curt Palmer 2-10-20Current Marshall County Circuit Court Judge Curtis Palmer has filed for reelection in the May 5th republican primary. Judge Palmer is a 1977 graduate of Argos High School, a 1981 graduate of Purdue University and a 1984 graduate of the Indiana University School of Law in Bloomington.

He returned to Marshall County in 1985 as a deputy prosecuting attorney and held that post until elected as Marshall County Prosecuting Attorney in 1996. He was then reelected as prosecuting attorney in 2000 and 2004. When former Circuit Court Judge Michael Cook resigned in 2007, Governor Mitch Danielson appointed Palmer to fill the remainder of Judge Cook’s term. Judge Palmer was then elected to keep the position in 2008 and reelected in 2014.

Judge Palmer lives in Plymouth and is married to his wife Debbie. They have three adult children and two grandchildren.  Both Judge Palmer and his wife are avid runners, and both are multiple marathon finishers.

Judge Palmer is a member of the American, Indiana and Marshall County Bar Associations, Marshall County Community Corrections Advisory Board, Chairman of the Marshall County Historic Records Commission, Chairman of the Marshall County Courthouse Security Committee, and a past member of the Marshall County FOP, Committee for a Drug-Free Indiana, Multi-County Drug Task Force Board of Directors, Plymouth School Corporation LEAD Committee, and Marshall County Child Protection Team.
