On Friday, January 31st at approximately 2:00 A.M. Marshall County Sheriff’s Officer Bennett initiated a traffic stop in the area of Kroger’s. The driver of the vehicle identified as 30 year old, Bryant C. Rue of Plymouth. During the course of the traffic stop Rue was found to be under the influence of alcohol was transported to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for a certified test which showed Rue to be over the legal limit of alcohol.
Bryant Rue was transported to the Marshall County Jail on charges of Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more and Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person. He was held on a $1,505 bond.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is a mere allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
