MugShot_marcos sanchezOfficer Wozniak with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated a two vehicle crash Saturday morning, February 1st that landed a Plymouth man in the Marshall County Jail.

Officer Wozniak was dispatched to the area of US 31 and US 30 just after 2 A.M. to investigate the crash.  Arriving on the scene he found that a white 2013 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 33 year old Marcos A. Sanchez of Plymouth had rear ended a black 2006 Mercury SUV driven by Brandon K. Gardner of Mishawaka.

No injuries were reported however Mr. Sanchez was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was taken to St. Joseph Health Center in Plymouth for a certified test.  Test results showed Sanchez to be over two times the legal limit of alcohol.  He was transported to the Marshall County Jail and booked in for Operating a Vehicle with a BAC of .15 or more and Operating a vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering and held on a $1,500 cash bond.  Sanchez posted bond just after 1 P.M. Saturday and was released with a court date of February 11th in Marshall Superior Court II.
