Crash investigation_VehicularFive people were hurt in a two vehicle accident Saturday afternoon, February 1st at State Road 17 and State Road 8.

About 2:30 Marshall County Police were dispatched to the crash that sent four people to the Plymouth Hospital and one person to Memorial Hospital.

The accident occurred when a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu 4-door passenger car, driving eastbound by Barbara D. Lohse of Argos failed to yield the right-of-way and pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle traveling on State Road 17.  Kodie M. Wood of Monterey was driving the north bound vehicle a 1994 Chevrolet S10 Pick-Up.

The front-end of Wood’s pick up collided with the passenger side of  Lohse’s car.

Barbara Lohse complained of pain in her back and leg and was transported to the Plymouth Hospital.  A passenger in her vehicle, Joanna Weldy was trapped in the car and complained of pain in her back and pelvis.  She was transported to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.

Three of the four passengers in Wood’s pick-up were transported to the Plymouth Hospital.  Dean Kreischer complained of left side head pain while Jackson Kreischer has a large laceration to the side of his head.  Delia Kreischer suffered multiple facial lacerations.
