Riverside and LJH Dance Marathons for Riley

January 26, 2020

RDM_RIS_1 2020Close to a dozen Plymouth High School students on the PHS Dance Marathon executive committee held a mini dance marathon at Riverside Intermediate School throughout the school day on Friday, Jan. 17th.  Each Rocket who participated paid a $20 fee that goes to raising money for the kids at Riley Hospital for Children.  More than 300 students took part in this year’s event that set a new donation record of $8,640.

RDM_RIS_2 2020All donations raised at Riverside will be combined towards the grand fundraising total at the 9th annual Plymouth High School Riley Dance Marathon that will be held on Friday, January 31.

RDM_RIS_3 2020Last year our Rockets raised $8,600, the year prior the mini dance marathon event raised $7,240.

RDM_LJH_1 2020Congratulations also goes out to Lincoln Jr. High School for breaking a fundraising goal record at their annual LJHS Mini Dance Marathon that was held Friday!

RDM_LJH_2 2020Students and staff raised $8,001 to go towards kids at Riley Hospital for Children. More than 300 Red Storm students donated money and participated in the fifth annual Lincoln Mini Dance Marathon.

RDM_LJH_3 2020Students from Plymouth High School leading next Friday’s PHS Dance Marathon, organized and ran Friday’s marathon in the LJHS gymnasium that took place throughout the entire school day. Students literally danced for hours to support children who cannot, and because of their efforts, Lincoln raised more money than ever before for children who receive pediatric care at Riley.

This post was produced in full by Plymouth High School senior career marketing student Bo Meadors who was here on assignment covering our Rockets.
