Swerve Bike RackThe City of Plymouth will be receiving 5 new bike racks thanks to MACOG.

MACOG wrapped up its Bicycle Parking Improvement Project in late November.  Using CMAQ funds and an Environmental Action Grant from NIPSCO, MACOG was able to create an application-based bike rack funding program for local governments aimed at increasing the available bike parking in the region.

Overall, MACOG was able to purchase 58 bike racks to distribute throughout the region.  The bike racks range in style, based on the preference of each community that applied.

Combo bike rackPlymouth will receive 2 Swerve and 3 Combo bike racks. The comb racks will go near c-league and the wooden play structure in Centennial Park and Freedom Park.  The teen swerve racks will go on the corners of Garro and Michigan, one by tourism office and one by city office.

Post and Ring Bike RackCulver is getting 6 Post & Ring bike racks.

MACOG is excited to see more bike parking in time for the 2020 Bicycling Season.
