Marshall County Highway Superintendent Jason Peters announced Monday morning that core samples will be taken on North Michigan Road on Wednesday, December 18th.
A company has been hired to do roadway core samples from just north of the roundabout all the way to 3A Road. The will start about 9 a.m. on Wednesday and will be sampling both lanes every half mile.
Peters said, “This is to gather some information for the possibility of the resurfacing on North Michigan for the Community Crossing Matching Grant. There will be flaggers out for traffic control.”
