County BuildingThe Marshall County Commissioners have a busy agenda for the December 16th meeting.

Jason Peters from the County Highway Department will discuss the proposed 2020 Road Plan and 2020 bids will be awarded.

Jonathan Leist, Town of Culver Director will ask the commissioners to pass an ordinance designation us to be a broadband ready community while Karen Richey from Purdue Extension will present the annual contact for services.

County Plan Director Ty Adley will present three ordinances for Erosion Control, Solar and a fee schedule for solar and John Wolff will discuss a tile issue on Tamarack Road north of US 6.

Sheriff Matt Hassel will present an out-of-state travel request and seek approval to solicit quotes for 2020 sheriff’s vehicles.  Officer Matt Schnaible from the Bremen Police Department will ask for permission to conduct Dustin’s Plan 5K on county roadways on April 18, 2020.

Also on the commissioners agenda is Jerry Chavez from the Marshall County Economic Development Corporation, County Attorney Jim Clevenger with a report and the auditor’s report.

The commissioners are expected to award vehicle bids, appoint a representative to the Alcohol Beverage Commission and to the Marshall County Convention and Visitors Bureau board of directors.

Their meeting is open to the public and comments and questions are always welcome.  The commissioner’s meeting is in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.
