MugShot_travis mcclurg 11-29-19Early Friday morning, November 29, county police arrested a Mishawaka man on multiple charges.

About 3:30 Deputy Blake Bennett conducted a traffic stop in the area of US 30 and Michigan Road. The driver, 26 year old Travis McClurg was taken into custody after police located drugs and a loaded firearm in the vehicle.

McClurg was found to be under the influence of controlled substances and was taken to Plymouth Hospital for a certified test.

He was booked into the Marshall County Jail for Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Second and Subsequent within the Last Seven Years a Level 6 Felony, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Endangering a Person a Class A Misdemeanor, Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated Controlled Substance a Class C Misdemeanor, Possession of Marijuana a Class B Misdemeanor, and Legend Drug Deception a Level 6 Felony. Officer Bennett indicated that additional charges may be forth coming.  He was held on a $1,500 cash bond.
