Monday evening the Plymouth Common Council approve a resolution requested by Fire Chief Rod Miller to transfer funds in the 2019 budget for the Fire Department.
While department heads can do transfers in their budgets as long as they are in the same classifications, transfers from one major budget classification to another within the department must first be approved the City Council and then by the Department of Local Government Finance.
The resolution states, “Whereas, certain extraordinary conditions have developed since the adoption of the existing annual budget for the year 2019, and it is now necessary to transfer appropriations into different categories than was approved in the annual budget for the various functions of the Fire Department.”
The council unanimously approved a transfer of $1,184 from personal services EMT Part Time Salaries to Supplies for Other Materials.
