City Hall 10-10-19The City of Plymouth will conduct their regular meetings Monday evening, October 14th beginning at 6 p.m. with the Board of Public Works and Safety.

Agenda for the meeting includes opening bids for the demolition of the commercial building at 400 East Jefferson Street, for former Clark Station.

During Department Head reports, Street Superintendent Jim Marquardt will discuss the request of the First United Methodist Church at 400 North Michigan Street to have work done on the alley between their two buildings to alleviate storm water entering their building.

The other request comes from Susan and Brandon Mattix at 122 North Street.  They are requesting Sidewalk work.

There are several requests for the Board of Works.  Kelsey Guadarrama from Marshall County 4-H will request permission to chalk downtown sidewalks while Robyn Hammonds will request a release of lien and code violation charge.  Burke Richeson from Centennial Crossings is seeking a curtain burn request and Shelley Heiden will request to move a Blueberry sculpture.  The final request is a utility bill payment plan for Jason Gritton at 309 Charles Street.

The Plymouth Common Council meeting begins at 6:30 and only has a few items on the agenda.  City Attorney Sean Surrisi will present an ordinance regarding Solar Permit Fees for the city, a resolution providing for the transfer of appropriations in the Fire Dept. of the General Fund as requested by Fire Chief Rod Miller.

The City Council will also consider a resolution to declare certain real estate within an Economic Revitalization Area for AK Industries and look at a certified proposal to amend the official zoning map for the City of Plymouth.

The city meetings are held in second floor council chambers in City Hall.  Participants should enter through the Garro Street entrance.  Both the Board of Public Works and Safety and the Common Council limits comments and questions to agenda items only.
