Jack Jordan state RepHigh school seniors and college students interested in a career in education can apply for the Next Generation Hoosier Educators Scholarship through November 30th.

State Representative Jack Jordan said, “This renewable scholarship of up to $7,500 each year for four academic years is awarded to as many as 200 students. The General Assembly supported legislation establishing this scholarship opportunity to encourage more high-achieving students to pursue a fulfilling career teaching in Hoosier classrooms.”

A teacher nominates an applicant, who will submit a nomination form with their application and complete an interview. Interested students must be in the top 20 percent of their high school graduation class or earn a score in the top 20th percentile on the SAT or ACT, attend a college in Indiana and teach in an Indiana classroom for five years after earning a degree.
