LV boys led by Lillie, Beam
MENTONE — The varsity cross country team participated in the Tippecanoe Valley Invitational Saturday.
Sam Lillie led LaVille with a 61st-place finish in a time of 21 — 19. Dawson Beam was 66th, Alex Menting was 68th, Connor Henry 77th, and Caleb Christy 79th.
LaVille finished in 13th place as a team. Columbia City won the team competition with 29 points.
Columbia City’s Landon Wakeman was the individual medalist in a time of 16 — 14.
The Co-Ed Cross Country team will run against Culver Community and North Judson-San Pierre at Oregon-Davis on September 17.
