The Marshall County Unsafe Building Committee discussed several properties during their meeting Thursday morning in the conference room of the County Building.
One property at 440 Lincoln Highway in Bourbon is owned by Diane Sherrill. Known as the old Sale Barn the property, Sherrill had been living in the property but has relocated to Elkhart after having to have her removed from the property. Currently some one is living in a tent and or camper on the property.
Christine Stinson from the Health Department told the committee she has been dealing with this property for two years. The property is falling down, full of trash and rodent infested.
The Unsafe Building Committee motioned to move the property through the court system and ask to have the building demolished.
