Miller's_Tractor Winner Sept 8 2019Miller’s Senior Living Community Campus celebrated the kick off of National Assisted Living Week and the 50th anniversary of Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Facility with a Tractor and Car show and a Miller’s Country Round-Up.

While it did rain it did not dampen the spirits of those who chose to participate throughout the afternoon. Along with the Tractor and Classic Car Show the Plymouth High School Football Team was in charge of kiddie games and food booths. Food being served included Reese Pulled Pork BBQ, Ben’s Pretzels, Hacienda Chips and Salsa and Miller’s Best all-beef hot dogs in the world!

Dignitaries in the crowd were Plymouth Mayor Mark Senter who began the festivities by proclaiming it national Assisted Living Week and also stating the Pride that Plymouth has for having the Miller’s Successful business in the Plymouth Community for 50 years. Miller’s Chief Executive Officer Pat Boyle also spoke followed by the founding mother and original DON of Miller’s Merry Manor, Jane Miller!

Miller's_Car Show Winner Sept 8 2019Many in attendance accepted the challenge of riding the Mechanical Bull and those who valued their functioning hips chose to go on the pony rides. Both were provided by Saylors End of the Trail Riding Stable. Margo Demont provided elaborate face painting; as Nancy Smiley gave free tattoos. Country singer Joey Garcia performed under the tent first and Quentin Flagg acted as DJ for the Tractor and Car Show. The crowd broke into laughter when Flagg took to the stage and began his musical set with the song “Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head”. Throughout the event residents and guests were able to sign up for door prizes and vote for their favorite Tractor and Classic Car. The show ended as the sun came out and the “BEST OF SHOW” Winners were announced.
