County BuildingThe Marshall County Council will meet Monday morning at 9 a.m. in the second floor meeting room of the County Building.

The council will conduct their regular monthly meeting followed by the 2020 Budget Hearings.

During the regular meeting Debbie Palmer from the Soil and Water Conservation District will request an interim district coordinator and Sheriff Hassel will ask for a probation pay waiver.  Christine Stinson from the County Health Department will seek approval to apply for grants and Commissioner Stan Klotz will again ask the Council for additional funding for this year’s road program.

Also on the Council agenda are representatives from the Marshall County Crossroads Stellar project who will give an update and ask for financial support and County Surveyor Craig Cultice has a request for additional funding to equip two new trucks.

Following the additional appropriation and transfer requests the County Council will begin the process of cutting $962,000 from next year’s requests.  The council will look at each department’s request fund by fund and begin the process of cutting nearly a million dollars from next year’s budget.

The Council meeting is open to the public although public input is limited to the first order of business.
