Marshall County residents will have the opportunity to hear award winning musicians John Schlitt and Billy Smiley at a special concert event in Burr Oak.
The band is called “The Union of Sinners and Saints” and members from two Christian rock bands have come together to form this new band and they are bringing their acoustic Storyteller concert series to Marshall County!
The “Union of Sinners and Saints” is a Christian rock band formed by Christian rock legends John Schlitt of Petra and Billy Smiley of Whiteheart. They will bring their acoustic “Storyteller Tour” to the Burr Oak Barn on Monday, August 5th for an intimate concert at 7:30.
Schlitt and Smiley will be joined by new artist and fellow band-mate Jason Fowler from Atlanta, GA. They will be performing classics by Petra and Whiteheart music, as well as new originals and telling stories from their many years in the Christian music business.
Between Schlitt and Smiley, they have more than twenty-five #1 hits, over 40 Grammy and Dove awards and nominations, and have sold more than 13 million albums! Prior to joining Petra, John was the lead singer for the rock band Head East in the 70s.
There will be a VIP eat and greet with the band before the concert at The Brass Rail, with a limited number of tickets available. Tickets are $100 and include dinner and a seat in the first two rows.
This special concert will be held at the Burr Oak Barn in Burr Oak. General admission is only $20 and proceeds will be donated to Autism Resources of Marshall County. Tickets can be purchased from Steve Pletcher Jr. at 574-780-3187, or online at itickets.com.
