INDOT_ChipandSealThis week the Marshall County Highway Department will continue its chip and seal program and take a couple days to work in the various townships to patch, grade, cut brush and work on some complaints that have been called in.

Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said when his crew is sealing and paving it  takes all of the guys so that limits the time they have to work in their areas on general maintenance.

The County Highway crew is finishing up the 3B from Fir to Elm Roads and 4th Road from Elm to 331.  They will then move to Huffs hill sub-division, Douglass Road and on to RenTown Road. The highway crews will then move south to Bourbon Township and begin on 12th Road from Cedar to the County Line.

The county’s Culvert Crew will be working on a drainage project north of Tee Garden and other culvert and tile repairs.

The Mowing Crews will be back mowing this week. Last Thursday and Friday they worked on trimming bridges and guardrails.

Superintendent Peters asked drivers to PLEASE DRIVE WITH CAUTION WHEN COMING UP ON A HIGHWAY CREW OR ROAD SIGNS.
