County News # 1Monday morning, Jason Peters, County Highway Superintendent presented the Commissioners with contracts from the three companies that were awarded Community Crossings projects during the July 1st meeting.   The contracts were signed and will be forwarded on to the Indiana Department of Transportation.

The projects awarded included one contract for $122,650 for E&B Paving to do work in Dogwood Road from US 6 to US 331.  Reith Riley Construction was awarded two projects; $263,543.85 for work on 9B Road from Union Road to the County Line and $249,143 for North Michigan Street from the Plymouth City limits north to Veteran’s Parkway.  Walsh and Kelly was also awarded two projects, Dogwood Road from US 6 to the county line at a cost of $334,214 and 11th Road from South Michigan Street east to US 31 for $127,107.31.

Work on some of these projects could begin later this month while all five projects are scheduled to be completed this paving season.
