Bre's RunOn Saturday, July 6, the third annual Bre’s Run will be held to benefit the Breanna Sue Lemler Memorial Scholarship Fund at the Marshall County Community Foundation.

A graduate of Triton High School, Breanna Sue Lemler was only 21 years old when she was tragically killed on July 10, 2016 in a motor vehicle accident while interning for Bunge North America in Alabama. She had been a 3-sport athlete at Triton, was the 2014 Miss Blueberry, a Boilermaker and member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority.

The run was created by Courtney Jennings as her community service project for the Kosciusko Leadership Academy.  The run is a fundraiser for the scholarship in honor of Breanna Lemler which provides one or more annual scholarships to Marshall County Seniors. Preference is given to student(s) involved in athletics, 4-H, or those who have an agricultural background — all passions of Breanna’s during her life.  To date, 11 students have been awarded the Breanna Sue Lemler Memorial Scholarships.

Bre’s Run will be held at Triton High School on Saturday, July 6th with a 13.1 half marathon run, a 5K and 1 mile fun run.  There will be lots of great raffle and silent auction items, awards and music.
