Crash_US31&11th_6-21-19_2An 80 year old Plymouth man was injured in a two vehicle crash on US 31 at 11th Road on Friday.

Terry Harrell was attempting to cross the south bound lanes of US 31 in a 1965 Chevy Impala convertible and did not see a minivan approaching the intersection.

Crash_US31&11th_6-21-19_1Harrell’s antique vehicle was struck in the right rear by a 2005 Honda Odyssey van driven by Olibia Lopez-Velasquez of Grand Rapids, MI.  The impact caused Harrell’s car to spin and it came to rest in the median south of the intersection while Velasquez’s van ended up in the southbound passing lane of US 31 south of the intersection.

Crash_US31&11th_6-21-19_3Terry Harrell was air lifted to Memorial Hospital in South Bend for treatment of the injuries he received in the crash. There were seven people in the van and the drive and several passengers were treated and released from St. Joseph Hospital in Plymouth.
