Crash investigation_VehicularTuesday morning Marshall County Police released information from a sever crash that occurred on U.S. 30 at Plymouth Goshen Trail Sunday morning. 

About 11:30 Marshall County Police, Plymouth Fire and EMS were dispatched to the westbound lanes of US 30 at Plymouth Goshen Trail for a two vehicle crash with several injuries.

Arriving on the scene officers discovered that a 1998 Mercury Villager van had been traveling north bound on Plymouth Goshen Trail and failed to yield the right-of-way to westbound traffic on US 30.

The van, driven by Martha Wright of Plymouth crossed the east bound lanes but pulled directly into the path of a west bound 2004 Pontiac Grand Am driven by Allen Watson of Chicago.  Impact was on the passenger side of Wright’s van causing one of the four occupants to the ejected from the vehicle.  All four occupants, two adults and two juveniles were transported from the scene by EMS to Memorial Hospital in South Bend.    

 

A passenger in Watson’s vehicle was also seriously injured and transported from the scene to Memorial Hospital.

 

This accident is still under investigation by Officer Travis ONeal of the Marshall County Sheriff`s Department.  He was assisted by the Indiana State Police and Plymouth Police.
