Ray ReedA ceremony to rename a section of U.S. Highway 30 after Ralph “Ray” Reed, Jr., an Indiana State Police master motor carrier inspector who was killed in the line of duty in Marshall County on Aug. 3, 1995 will be held on Thursday, June 20th at the INDOT Plymouth Sub-district office located on Jack Greenlee Drive northwest of Plymouth.

Dignitaries at the event will include State Representative Jack Jordan (R-Bremen), State Senator Randy Head (R-Logansport), Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter and the family of the late Ralph “Ray” Reed, Jr.

Ray Reed MemorialU.S. Highway 30 from Oak Drive to Pioneer Drive will have signage designating that portion of roadway to Reed.
