Thank you picnicMarshall County Long-Term Recovery Operations – in partnership with New Song Church – is excited to hold a “Thank You Picnic” on Wednesday, July 3, in Centennial Park, Plymouth (from 6 pm until after the fireworks conclude) to celebrate those who supported the emergency and long-term recovery efforts following the historic 2018 Marshall County flood. This free, family event is a tribute to the many survivors, first responders and volunteers who gave help and hope.

The “Thank You Picnic” will be held in the greenspace in Centennial Park adjacent to the tennis courts.  The event will start at 6 pm with a short program at 9 pm. Fireworks will start at 9:45 pm. The rain date for this event is July 4.

Registered flood survivors are invited to come early for free tickets for food and t-shirts. First come, first served!

The “Thank You Picnic” will include children’s entertainment, music, food trucks, fireworks and a short, video program that will tell the story of the Marshall County 2018 flood – and how the community and  volunteers from near and far rallied to recovery. A special thanks to New Song Church for partnering with Marshall County Long-Term Recovery Operations to help make this event possible.
