Local Bourbon resident Alvin Chupp who lives at 606 North Harris Street, appeared before the Bourbon Town Council this week seeking permission to remove sod from what is either a town easement or an unimproved alley and resurface it with stone. Chupp told board members that he wants to build a garage on his property and the stone will allow him to have a better surface to drive on to his property in the middle of the block. Chupp said he would assume all the costs and have the approximately ten foot-wide section from Jefferson to Pine Streets final finished with limestone.
Bourbon Council members asked Chupp to speak with his neighbors and report back at the July meeting.
