Erik NunezTwo different Go Fund Me accounts have been set up for the Nunez family.

Plymouth High School students have set up a Go Fund Me account to support Erik Nunez and his sisters following the horrific accident in Ohio on Monday that claimed the lives of his mother and father.  The family will be facing an incredible amount of expenses in the future as Erik fights to heal from the serious injuries he sustained in the accident.

PHS Band Director Bryan Ames said, “The students have already organized #StayStrongErik bracelets that will be for sale next week to help this campaign.”

The Go Fund Me post states:Erik Nuñez is an amazing young man who needs your support. He is a freshman at Plymouth high school and an avid member of the Plymouth marching band drumline. On May 27 he was in a serious car crash in Ohio with his family on their way home from a trip to Canada. A semi-truck crossed the meridian, crashing into the Nuñez family vehicle. His parents unfortunately did not survive the accident. Erik was flown to the ProMedical Toledo Hospital with critical injuries. Currently he is fighting very hard for his life and has the love and support of his drumline family and his entire Plymouth community behind him. The Nuñez family is facing incredible loss at this time and needs our help. Please donate anything you can to this worthy cause and help the family to cover the innumerable funeral and medical bills that will soon be pouring in.

The students set the goal at $10,000 and as of Wednesday evening, $5,720 of the $10,000 goal has been raised in one day.  You can donate at the link below.

Nunez family

The second Go Fund Me account was set up by co-workers of Simone Nunez.  The facebook post states:On Memorial Day, May 27, Simone Nunez, Quality Associate Director based in Warsaw, and her husband, Refugio, passed away after their vehicle was struck by a commercial vehicle on the Ohio Turnpike in Fulton County, Ohio. Their 15-year-old son, Erik, was also in the vehicle with his parents and was airlifted to the University of Toledo Medical Hospital in critical condition. Their daughter, Isabel, a marketing intern in Lower Extremities, along with her 9 year old sister, Selia and another passenger were in the vehicle behind her parents. Her vehicle was struck by debris from the accident but thankfully Isabel was uninjured in the crash.  Selia and the other passenger were also taken to Toledo Medical Hospital with reported minor injuries.

Let us all keep the Nunez children in our thoughts and prayers.
We also pray for a full recovery for Erik and are requesting your financial assistance with this go fund me account to help the children thru this very difficult time.

The funds will be used right away by the children.

The goal on this Go Fund Me account is $25,000 and as of Wednesday evening, one day after creating the fundraiser they have already raised $20,517.
