BoyerMenominee Elementary Principal, Steven Boyer, will be leaving the Plymouth School Corporation at the end of the school year and begin working at Eisenhower Elementary in Warsaw as the new principal.  He replaces retiring principal Chris Gensinger.

Boyer taught English at Lincoln Junior High from 2006 to 2012. He then served as assistant principal of Riverside Intermediate until 2014, and as principal of Menominee.

Boyer expressed his appreciation for the Plymouth Community saying, “I am forever grateful for the opportunity I had to serve Menominee students and families and the Plymouth community. As a teacher, coach, and principal, I was fortunate to have met, worked with, and served so many wonderful people.” “Plymouth believed in me, inspired me, and afforded me countless experiences that enriched my life and define who I am as person and educator.”

He also shared his thoughts on the future of the Plymouth Schools. He said, “Menominee is full of caring, hardworking staff who have and will continue to do great things for every student. Mr. Hartley, Mrs. Vandriessche, and Mrs. Busse have an excellent vision for the future of PCSC schools. I am certain that they will continue to maximize the academic and social achievement of all Plymouth students.”

Boyer graduated from Manchester College in 2006 with a bachelor’s degree in English secondary education. He also holds a master’s in education from Indiana Wesleyan University. He completed his licensure program in 2013.
