The Kosciusko County Coroner has identified the deceased male found in the Tippecanoe River Wednesday as 65-year old Thomas Schmeltz of Bourbon. The preliminary cause of death has been determined to be drowning.
Schmeltz’s body was located around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, May 8th by Indiana Conservation Officer near State Road 10 and State Road 19.
