Election Board_members may 2019Members of the Marshall County Election Board met Monday afternoon for the purpose of certifying the absentee ballots for Tuesday municipal primary and Plymouth Community School Corporation referendum.

Board members, County Clerk Deb VanDeMark and Sean Surrisi the Republican representative were joined by Jere Humphrey who served as a proxy for Rick Huff, the Democrat representative on the board.

Members certified in person voting in Culver and Bremen the two Saturdays before the primary.  In total, Culver had 24 voters and Bremen had 20 voters.  In the Marshall County Clerk’s Officer there were 681 voters who came in and voted on the machines.

Election Board_absentee ballots may 2019Next the Election Board members certified the number of Travel Board and mailed in ballots.  In total there were 111 people who voted by the travel board and 33 who voted by mailed ballot.  The final vote was a person who presented in the Clerk’s Office to vote absentee but their name had been pulled from the list because they were deceased.  Since that wasn’t the fact they were allowed to vote on a paper ballot because the computer voting machine didn’t have their name listed.

In total, 870 voters have already voted for the municipal primaries or on the school referendum.
