MugShot_david riveraJust before 4 a.m. on Saturday, May 4th, officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department were called to the area of 6th and Olive Road for a vehicle off the roadway.

When officers arrived on the scene they found 37 year old David Rivera of Chicago behind the wheel.  Rivera was offered the opportunity to submit to standardized field sobriety testing and then was transported to the hospital for a chemical test. 

Officer Ayala then transported Rivera to the Marshall County Jail where he was booked and lodged for, Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated at .15% or higher, OWI-Endangering, and Possession of Marijuana.

David Rivera was given a court date on May 21st and a cash bond of $4,500.  His bond was posted at 9:45 p.m. on May 5th and he was released.
