The Plymouth Board of Public Works and Safety only received one quote for the new pick-up truck with a service body for the Wastewater Department.
Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson read the quote from Oliver Ford that had a base bid of $59,207. There was also a trade-in value of $500 for the 2004 Ford XL 205 for a net quote of $58,707.
The Superintendent noted that quotes were solicited from Country Auto and the Auto Park.
Davidson asked to take the quote under-advisement with a recommendation at the next city meeting.
Councilman Jeff Houin asked what was budgeted for the vehicle and Davidson said $60,000. He then motioned to authorize Davidson to move forward with the quote from Oliver Ford as long as it meets the specifications. They Board of Works unanimously approved the motion.
