sobriety-checkpoints6Troopers at the Indiana State Police Bremen Post conducted a saturation patrol and DUI checkpoint during the night on Friday, March 22nd in Plymouth. During the two-hour checkpoint 83 cars passed through the checkpoint resulting in three drivers being arrested for operating while intoxicated. Two additional drivers were arrested for operating while intoxicated during the saturation patrol.

Troopers also made arrests for possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a schedule IV substance, and operating while intoxicated with a passenger less than 18 years old.

The Indiana State Police are committed to traffic safety and will continue to conduct sobriety checkpoints and saturation patrols to take dangerous drivers off the road and to serve as a deterrent to those that might drink and drive.
