The $3.1 million bridge rehabilitation project on US 30 over the Baker Ditch in Plymouth is back in operation again.
Last year the Indiana Department of Transportation awarded the project to LaPorte Construction and work on the westbound lanes of the bridge was completed in November. During the winter month all work was stopped and all lanes of US 30 were open to traffic. Now that spring is here, LaPorte Construction is ready to get back to work.
Work on the eastbound lanes of the bridge on US 30 is expected to begin any day and the east bound entrance and exit lanes from US 30 at North Michigan Street are now closed. Both east and west bound lanes of US 30 traffic will be flowing on the westbound side until late spring or early summer.
Adam Parkhouse, Media Relations Director for INDOT’s northwest office said the project is scheduled to be wrapped up by June.
