This summer the Parkview Water Tower in Plymouth will be repainted.
Monday evening, Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson recommended the Board of Public Works and Safety approved the bid of Fedewa, Inc. from Haskins, MI. While their base bid was not the lowest, when he added the alternate to use a better quality paint their bid of $239,740 was lowest. The paint has a better sheen and an extended life expectancy of 15 to 20 year.
Davidson said the second alternate was to have the city’s logo painted on the side of the water tower but it was determined it would be too small so only the name PLYMOUTH will be on the tank.
Members of the Board of Public Works and Safety unanimously approved Davidson’s recommendation.
