MugShot_donnie havensOfficer Ayala with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department arrested a Plymouth man on Friday, March 1st following a traffic stop.

About 10:45 at night the deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle at Michigan and 2A Roads. During the course of the traffic stop the driver, 49 year old Donnie Ray Havens was offered an opportunity to perform standardized field sobriety testing and then a portable breath test.  He was found to be over the legal limit.

At that point, Havens was transported to the Plymouth Hospital for a chemical test.  He was found to be over the legal limit and tested positive for cocaine.

Officer Ayala transported Mr. Havens to the Marshall County Jail and booked him for Operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08% or more, Operating a motor vehicle with a scheduled I or II substance, and knowingly or intentionally operating a motor vehicle without ever receiving a license. He was given a court date of March 19th and a cash bond of $3000.
