Rees Theatre_finish the act Feb 2019Monday evening, Jack Davis a member of the Rees Theatre Project Committee appeared before the Plymouth Park Board with a request to use River Park Square for a fundraising benefit.

Davis said the committee truly appreciates the support of the Park Board, the City of Plymouth and the community.   He said initially they planned to host the event in the theatre but because of the anticipated size of the audience and the lack of a working sprinkler system the event had to be moved outside.

Davis told the park board they would like to host the event at River Park Square in June.  The plan is an evening concert where they will be selling light refreshments and alcoholic beverages.  They will also conduct tours of the Rees to allow the public to see the progress to date.  He also asked for consideration of waiving the $150 non-profit fee to use the facility.

The Plymouth Park Board was supportive of the plan and gave their approval with the date and details to be worked out with the Park Department.
