winter-drivingDue to road conditions after the light rain that followed the snow Sunday evening, the County Highway Department will start at 4 AM Monday.
Highway Superintendent Jason Peters said, “This should give the department enough time to cover a majority of the county, before the morning commute.”   He urges driver to use caution, saying, “Snow covered county roads that are packed with snow and the rain that has fallen on could be very slick.  Roads that have be cleaned off and have bare pavement could be iced over and appear wet.”  He cautioned, “Be cautious of black ice !!!”
