A Bourbon man was arrested Saturday morning for Battery to a Public Safety Official.

Shortly after 8 a.m. County Police Officer Jordan Rans was contacted in reference to an individual violating a protective order in the 4400 block of State Road 10 near Bourbon.

The officer located the suspect, 22 year old Charles W. Steinman of Bourbon and arrested him for the violation of the protective order.   Further police investigation led to the discovery of narcotics and paraphernalia.

Charles Steinman was lodged in the Marshall County Jail for Violation of a Protective Order, Battery by Bodily Waste with the victim being a Law Enforcement Officer, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, and Disorderly Conduct.

Charles was issued a Marshall Superior Court 1 court date of February 26, and was given a cash bond of $1,500.
