Plymouth Utility Superintendent Donnie Davidson asked to have the bids taken under advisement for review with a recommendation anticipated at the next meeting on Feb. 11th.

During the Common Council meeting Davidson said the bids were about $200,000 higher than anticipated.

The council was considering a resolution to allow for the use of excess funds remaining from the 2015 Water Works project bond and the 2017-18 Waste Water project bond issue.  Davidson said there were a number of projects that the funds could be used for including a couple of water main projects prior to the spring street projects and the Candy Lane Storm Sewer project.  He said using the funds available would still leave over $200,000 that could be used towards the repayment of the bond issue.

He told the council he would be meeting with representatives from Umbaugh, the city’s financial consultants for a full review.

The resolution requested was approved by all members present.
