police-investigationOn January 19th, 2019, Marshall County Police received a report that a vehicle was taken
without the owner`s permission. The caller provided the name and possible location as to
where the vehicle was heading. Marshall County Police located the vehicle and driver. It
was found that the driver had a suspended driver`s license as a habitual traffic violator
and was under the influence of alcohol. The driver, Victor Mills, was taken to the
Marshall County jail and charged him with operating a vehicle while HTV suspended for
life, Level (5) Felony and operating a vehicle while intoxicated, Class (A) Misdemeanor
with a cash bond of $1500.
Readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable
cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only
probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent
throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to
a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable
doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
