UNIT Warrants Served

warrant-arrestOfficer with the Plymouth Police Department assisted Marshall County UNIT Officers in serving several warrants on Tuesday, December 4th.

Just after 11 A.M. 50 year old Anthony M. Long was taken into custody at his residence at 2535 North Michigan Street.  He was booked into the Marshall County Jail for two charges of Dealing Methamphetamines.

A short time later, just before noon 33 year old Patrick W. Leary was stopped on a traffic stop by Sgt Ray West.  Leary was taken into custody on a Marshall County UNIT warrant.  During a further investigation Methamphetamine, Marijuana, a Syringe and a scheduled 2 narcotic were located.  Leary was lodged in the County Jail on the Warrant and the additional charges of Possession of Meth/Marijuana and a Syringe.

Tuesday afternoon about 1:30 Officer David Finn served a warrant on 30 year old Rebecca Sue McDonald at her residence at 881 Lincolnway East.  The warrant was from the Marshall County UNIT for Dealing in a Scheduled II Controlled Substance and Maintaining a Common Nuisance.  She was held in the Jail on a $25,000 cash bond.

About 2:30 in the afternoon, Officer John Weir assisted Marshall County Officers in the UNIT with serving a warrant on 38 year old Nichole M. Dewitt.  Dewitt’s warrant was for Dealing in Methamphetamines, Marijuana and a look alike drug.

 

Listeners and readers are reminded that charging information supported by an affidavit of probable cause is merely an allegation that a crime has been committed and that there is only probable cause to believe a crime has been committed. They are presumed innocent throughout the proceedings and are entitled to be represented by counsel and entitled to a trial by jury at which the State is obligated to provide proof beyond a reasonable doubt before a judgment of guilt may be made.
