ArrestedA Plymouth man was arrested Thursday night for domestic Battery and Strangulation.

About 11:30 Plymouth Police units were dispatched to 709 North Plum Street for a domestic that had occurred.

The male suspect had left the scene prior to officers arrival.

During the investigation it was discovered that the female victim had multiple injuries to her face, arms, neck and legs from the battery. All of this occurred in the presence of children as well.

The suspect, 36 year old Xavier E. Witt was later located and taken in to custody. He was transported to the Marshall County Jail where he was lodged for domestic battery with serious bodily harm, strangulation, interfering with the reporting of a crime and violation of a protective order.
