Heartland_Dec2018 PosterHeartland artists are excellent in capturing the whole story that Andrew Wyeth refers to and showing the beautiful and brilliant side of ‘Winter’s Beauty’ through Dec. 28th. The December Show hosts a variety of art with each artist capturing their own view of nature at its best wrapped in the winter. Curator, Carolyne Babcock shares, “Whether winter is your favorite season or not, you will find a delightful view from inside the Gallery of winter at its best. Artists have captured their own view of the outside winter wonderland and painted, photographed, drawn, sculpted, etc. their unique version you will want to see.”

Some of the art you can experience: a photograph of brilliant shades of blue and white within the ice melting, stained glass where you find the melted snowman, textile art with beautiful layers of colors under the snowscape horizon, acrylic painting showing the contrast between the black earth and the winter’s white coverage, an acrylic painting of a majestic evergreen touched with a covering of snow and a cardinal nestled in and so much more.

The Heartland Christmas Gift Shop is also open for the holidays Tuesday through Saturday 10-4. There are so many one-of-a-kind gifts by local artists including pottery, jewelry, stained glass ornaments, decorations, paintings, photographs, cards and the list goes on … surprising savings on selected artwork.

The Gallery is proud to bring and to teach the arts to our community and support such talented local artists.  The not-for-profit Gallery gives area artists a venue to show and sell their art. The art classes fulfill their mission for educating and assist in the financial means to maintain the Gallery.
