Lorrie Snyder-Southside DennyAudiences at Wild Rose Moon have watched Lorrie Snyder grow musically from her teens into adulthood. Encouraged by her highly accomplished father, Denny Snyder, and her brother, Phillip, Lorrie has steadily expanded her repertoire by expanding her classical and jazz interests into the song list of “The Snyders.” Now she has produced her own first album, “Odd Comforts.” With classical and jazz roots, the album continues to explore the broad range of her vocal talents. Describing the album herself as, “folksy-jazz,” the project continues to build on her voice, piano, and bass work—in addition to Denny’s exquisite guitar playing. As an added treat, Lorrie and Denny will also be playing the song, “To the Moon & Back,” written expressly for Wild Rose Moon’s television series.

George Schricker, director of Wild Rose Moon has noted, “Lorrie’s voice is such a lead instrument in itself, hitting incredible pitches with the accuracy of horns, using remarkable diaphragm control to swell and crescendo and then hush into a whisper. Add all that to some of the cleanest finger work and closely thought out runs on Denny Snyder’s Godin guitar and you are in for an evening of intense and pleasure-filled listening.”

So give yourself an early Christmas treat and come see Lorrie Snyder’s debut performance with songs all her own.  Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door.  We’ll have the hot chocolate on and some of our Christmas treats ready too—so come out of the cold and warm up with some lovely music.  All, live, Where the Michigan Road and the Lincoln Highway cross the Beautiful Yellow River in Historic Downtown Plymouth.
