Plymouth High School would like to recognize senior Samantha Zechiel for being named a Commended Student in the 64th annual National Merit Scholarship Program (NMSC). Zechiel currently holds a 4.093 GPA and is ranked third in the 2019 class of 287 students. Zechiel was one of approximately 34,000 students throughout the country who receive Letters of Commendation in recognition for their outstanding academic performance on the PSAT/NMSQT®. National Merit Commended Students are named on the basis of a nationally applied Selection Index score. Although Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit® Scholarships, many Commended Students do become candidates for other prestigious scholarships for their academic high achieving abilities.
