Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ 150 years logoThe 2018 installment of the Mary Lou McCarthy-Artz Concert Series will feature the Ancilla Domini Community Choir in “An Evening of American Sacred Music” on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. EST. The concert is free and open to the public

In celebration of the 150th anniversary of the Poor Handmaids of Jesus Christ presence in America, the choir will perform a variety of sacred music written by American composers including Poor Handmaids, Sister Florentine and Sister Angelita. Other works by composers Gwyneth Walker, Aaron Copeland, Z. Randall Stroope, Moses Hogan and Craig Hella Johnson will also be featured. The concert is under the direction of Andrew Jennings, Director of Liturgy and Music at The Center at Donaldson.

The concert will take place in the Ancilla Domini Chapel at The Center at Donaldson, 9601 Union Road, Plymouth. A reception will follow.
