American-Red-Cross-Blood-Drive 2016The American Red Cross urges people to share their good health this holiday season by donating blood or platelets for patients in need.

A decline in donations occurs from Thanksgiving to New Year’s Day when donors are busy with holiday activities and travel. However, medical treatments and emergencies that require blood don’t stop for the holidays.

By giving blood or platelets, donors may give patients more time – and more holidays – with loved ones. Make an appointment to donate blood by downloading the free American Red Cross Blood Donor App, visitingRedCrossBlood.org or calling 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).

Upcoming blood donation opportunities in Marshall County are: Saturday, November 17th from 8 a.m. till 2 p.m. at the LifePlex at 2855 Miller Drive in Plymouth; Wednesday, November 21st from 1:30 until 5:30 a the Argos United Methodist Church at 540 North Michigan Street in Argos and on Thursday, November 29th from 12:30 until 6 p.m. at Washington Discovery Academy at 1500 Lake Avenue in Plymouth.
